    • May 1950 first marriage to Ben Thomas Driskell

      Maren Peterson, a former resident of Southold and Greenport, died Nov. 7 in Oswego, N.Y., where she made her home. She was 83.

      She was born in East Hampton Aug. 1, 1928, to Captain Ben and Maren Horton and lived most of her later years in Southold and Greenport. She was very involved in the Methodist churches of both communities and worked at the Arcade Department Store in Greenport, which family members said she enjoyed very much.

      Predeceased by her husbands, Ben Driskell and Pete Peterson, she is survived by her sons, Ben Driskell of Oswego and Pat Driskell of Colorado; her daughter, Donna Doroski of California; and three grandchildren.
