    Hannah Terry married Josiah Woodhull about 1760, in Southold, Long Island, New York. She was the daughter of Robert and Patience (Youngs) Terry and he was the son of Josiah and Clementine (Homan) Woodhull.
    Her Terry line of ascent is Hannah-4, Robert-3, John-2, Richard-1 Terry, who was one of three Puritan brothers (Thomas & Robert Terry) who migrated to New England during the Great Migration.
    His Woodhull line of ascent is Josiah-4, Josiah-3, Richard-2, Richard-1 Woodhull, the Puritan Immigrant.

    Josiah Woodhull House was the first home to be built in the Wading River community. Dating back to the early 1700s, the historic house is located at 170 North Country Road, Wading River. In addition, there are outbuildings - said to be a tannery and mill - at the rear of the homesite.

    Josiah Woodhull came to Setauket prior to 1720 to build a home on his grandfather's property. In 1675, the Town of Brookhaven gave the property to Richard Woodhull who then passed it along to his grandson, Josiah.
