    IRA MARKHAM PASSES AWAY

    SPANISH FORK--Ira M. Markham, 61, lifelong resident and well-known resident of the Spanish Fork District, died Thursday night at his home, following an illness of ten days from heart trouble. He was born in Spanish Fork, December 20, 1874. He was the son of Stephen and Mary Curtis Markham.

    His parents were among the first settlers of the Spanish Fork district. He followed the occupation of farming and stockraising all his life. He married Miss Rose Patterson in 1901. They continued to make their home in Laland Ward where he took an active part in both the civic and religious work of the community. He filled a two-year mission to the Northern States in 1914 to 1916. He was a faithful Latter-Day Saint and a member of the Quorum of Seventies.

    He is survived by his widow and the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Agnes Wood, Mrs. Helen Wilson, Miss Mae Markham, all of Spanish Fork; Ira J. Markham, New York City; Don C Markham, California; three sisters, Mrs. Elias Bona, Benjamin; Mrs. Margaret Morgan, Spanish Fork and Mrs. Charles Crow, Salt Lake City. He is survived also by seven grandchildren.

    Funerals services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Leland Ward Chapel, with Bishop Grant Stark in charge. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson Mortuary.

    SPANISH FORK--Funeral services for Ira M. Markham, 61, well-known farmer and stock raiser of this district, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Leland Ward Chapel with Bishop Grant Stark conducting.

    Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Mr. Markham was born in Spanish Fork, December 20, 1874. He was the son of Stephen and Mary Curtis Markham. He received his education in the schools of Spanish Fork, December 20, 1874. He was the son of Stephen and Mary Curtis Markham.

    SPANISH FORK--Ira Markham, 61, Spanish Fork, farmer, died Wednesday at the family home of heart disease.

    Mr. Markham was born at Spanish Fork, December 20, 1873, a son of Stephen and mary Curtis Markham.

    He is survived by his widow, Rose Patterson Markham; four daughters, Mrs. Agnes Wood, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Ina Mangum, Provo and Miss Mae Markham, Spanish Fork; two sons, Ira J. Markham, New York City and Don Markham, California; seven grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. Elsa Bona, Benjamin; Mrs. Margaret Morgan and Mrs. Julia Crow, Salt Lake City.

    Funeral services are pending word from Ira J. Markham, a son in New York City.
