The Rev. Gerald E. Boyce performed the impressive ceremony.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white bridal satin, made with a fitted bodice trimmed with insets of imported lace in which were satin appliques. The Peter Pan collar was also trimmed with lace. The full skirt, worn over a satin hoop, was banded in the same lace as the appliques and terminated in a long train. Her illusion veil flowed from a cap trimmed with pearl and she carried an arm bouquet of white tulips.
Miss Lavinia Creighton of Patchogue, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She was dressed in a gown of yellow taffeta trimmed in narrow yellow lace and styled with a fitted bodice with an off-the-shoulder neckline and an illusion yoke. She wore yellow mitts of the same material and a starched chiffon picture hat in yellow, which tied under the chin at the side. Her bouquet was of yellow daffodils, white tulips and purple iris.
The bridesmaids were Miss Doris Creighton of Patchogue, another sister of the bride, and Miss Helen Williamson of Center Moriches. They were gowned in aqua taffeta, fashioned with a fitted bodice, an off-the-shoulder neckline and an illusion yoke. Their full skirts were of net over taffeta and they wore picture hats of matching starched chiffon which tied under their chins and aqua mitts. They carried arm bouquets white tulips, pink tulips and white narcissi.
Marvin L. Miller of Flushing was best man. The ushers were August Stout, Jr., of Center Moriches, a cousin of the bridegroom, and Clifford Scarlett, Jr., of Patchogue.
The mother of the bride wore a navy blue dress with a white hat trimmed in navy blue. Her corsage was of gardenias.

The church was decorated in white flowers and the wedding marches were played by Miss Edna Jackson, organist.
A reception with buffet refreshments was held at the home of the bride's parents on Bransford street, immediately after the ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Uttley left for a wedding trip, the bride wearing a gray suit with a gold check, a gold topper and a gray hat with roses. Upon their return they will live in Center Moriches.
