Linda Margaret Robison was born on 26 Jan 1870 in West Liberty, Muscatine Co, IA, the daughter of James Robison and Emily Ogden Jayne.

She married Dr. Horatio Ulysses Baker on 25 May 1890 at Lone Tree, Johnson Co, IA, the son of Marion Baker and Sarah Harding.

Horatio and Linda had six children: Ellen Deleon, Merle, Robert Robison, Walter Proctor, Donald D. and Eva E.

They were members of the Reformed Church.

Linda died on 07 Jul 1955 in Davenport, Scott Co, IA, aged 85 Years 5 Months 12 Days.

John Jayne, was born on Dec 25, 1748 the son of William and Tabitha Norton Jayne at Brookhaven, Long Island, New York. He Married Cornelia Decker the d/o Hendrickus and Annatji Hannah {Kermer} Decker on 13 Sept 1775 Sanford, Broomer Co., New York. Cornelia Decker was born 14 Mar 1753 at Deer Park, Suffolk Co., New York and Died 25 Oct 1820 at Scott, Wayne Co., Pennsylvaina, John Jayne, died @5 April 1838 also at Scott, Wayne Co., Pennsylvania. Both are buried at Starrucca Cemetery, Wayne Co., Pennsylvania.
They were the parents of Eight children all Born at Middle Smithfield, Northampton Co., Pennsylvainia:
1.Hannah, b. 03 July 1776 Northampton Co., she married John Bunnell; and died 07 Nov 1837 in Otsigo Co., N.Y
2. Henry, b. 15 April 1777. He married Catherine Crawford and moved to Ohio. where they died. Henry on 22 Feb 1861 and Catherine on 12 June 1882 both in Washington Co., Ohio
3. Tabitha, born 09 June 1778. She married Thomas Dutches, b. 1778. She died 02 Sept 1837.
4. Elanor, b.abt 1785.
5. Ann, b. 03 Oct 1787. She married John Ogden. he was b. 1782. Ann, died 02 Oct 1837.
6. Benaiah, bon 31 July 1790 and died 11 Feb 1854 at Scott, Wayne Co., Pennsylvainia. He married Mary Whitaker 1795 - 1878.
7. David b. 07 Oct 1793; He married Phebe Dailey. David d. 27 Nov 1840 Wayne Co., Pennsylvainia both are buried at Shehawken Cemetery Wayne Co., Pa.
8. Affa, she was b. 20 June 1797 and died 14 Feb 1882 Otsigo Co.New York. She married Matthew Crawford 1785 - 1854.

On the back of the gravestone of John and Catharine (Weaver) Whitaker is the following inscription:

"John Whitaker was born in Middletown, Orange County, N.Y. August 14, 1773.

He was the son of Squire and grandson of Richard Whitaker who came to this country before the French War and settled in Orange County. When John was about 1 yrs old his parents removed to Wyoming Valley where they remained until the fatal Indian massacre of July 3, 1778, making their escape with great difficulty and suffering through the wilderness back to Orange County.

In 1786 the family removed to Shohocking Point now Hancock and the next year to the Cookhouse near Deposit. In 1793 he married Catharine Weaver from Mohawk Valley. He lived a few years at Hales Eddy then returned to the old homestead where he remained through life.

He encountered the usual struggles of pioneer life but by industry, temperance and frugality he accumulated a handsome property. He united with the Baptist Church in 1821, was elected Deacon in 1831.

He contributed largely toward the creation of the old Baptist and Presbyterian Churches in this place. He is supposed to have been the last survivor of the Wyoming massacre."
