Michael Andrew Crane was born in 1872, in Parksville, Sullivan County, New York, per his wedding certificate. He was the son of Andrew Crane and Maria (pronounced Mariah) Dolan. Both Andrew and Maria had been born in Ireland.
Nothing else (other than him briefly attending school in Stevensville, Sullivan, N.Y.), is currently known about Michael Andrew from the time of his birth until his wedding. He married Mary Agnes Clinton on August 29, 1897 in Manhattan, New York, where both families had been living.
Michael Andrew has not been located on an 1880 or 1900 census yet. In 1900, Mary Agnes is listed with her family as single. They have been found on the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census records. Mary Agnes is a widow on the 1940 census, with Michael having passed away in 1931 in Manhattan Memorial Hospital.
From at least 1904, until his death in 1931, Michael Andrew and Mary Agnes Crane lived at 20 Lee Avenue in Scarsdale, New York, (except in 1906 and 1907) where they raised their large family.
Michael and Mary Agnes (Clinton) Crane are buried in Holy Mount Cemetery in Eastchester, New York.

    Notes:

Mary Agnes Clinton was born June 22, 1877, in Manhattan, New York, per her birth certificate. She was 20 on her wedding certificate and the 1880 census record lists her as 2 years old. The birth year on her headstone is incorrect. She was the daughter of Patrick Clinton and Mary Hughes.

Mary Agnes has been located on each census from her birth until her death. However, on the 1900 census, Mary Agnes is listed as living with her parents and siblings, as single; there is no record of her husband or her first-born child, John Joseph Crane on a 1900 census (yet).
Mary Agnes and Michael Andrew have been found together, with their children, on the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census records. Mary Agnes is a widow on the 1940 census, as her husband Michael passed away in 1931, in Manhattan Memorial Hospital.
From at least 1904, until her husband's death in 1931, Mary Agnes and Michael Andrew Crane lived at 20 Lee Avenue in Scarsdale, New York, (except in 1906 and 1907) where they raised their large family.
