    Notes:

    Obituary - James H. Avery, 77 years old, died at his home, 90 River Avenue, late yesterday afternoon after an illness of about two months. He was born in London, coming to this country 40 years ago. At first he lived in Jersey City and moved to Patchogue 38 years ago, having been employed by the Patchogue-Plymouth Mills for the past 37 years. He was a member of South Side Lodge of Masons, the Foresters, the Shepherds and the mill employees benefit association. He was also an organist at St. Paul's Episcopal Church for ten years.

    Mr. Avery leaves his widow, Mrs. Elizabeth Avery, two daughters, Mrs. Ernest French, and Mrs. Harry Rose of Bay Shore, and three sons, Harry J., Arthur and Lawrence, all of this village. The funeral will be held from the home tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, the Rev. Hanington Wilson of St. Paul's church officiating, followed by interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
