- Alberta Nevada Woolf Rosenhan, age 87, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on July 22, 2008 from Causes Incident to Age. She resided at 9776 South Laura Lane Drive (2900 East) in Sandy, Utah at the time of her death.
Alberta was born on September 30, 1920 in Wells, Nevada to Milton Howe Woolf and Iretta Narissa France. She was one of nine children. Raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Alberta graduated from South High School. As a young woman she enjoyed skiing and other activities such as ice skating at Liberty Park, dancing at Saltair and many church functions. It was at one of these activities that she met her eternal companion. She married Alfred Harold Rosenhan on September 30, 1939 in the Salt Lake Temple. Alberta and Fred built their first home in Union where they resided for over 50 years and raised their family of eight children. Alberta was a wonderful wife and mother who loved her family dearly. She served them with devotion and integrity her entire life. Alberta loved the gospel and served faithfully in many church callings and especially loved serving with Fred as Stake Missionaries. In her later years Alberta served a mission teaching at the Mission Training Center in Provo, Utah. She loved that experience!
She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, daughter, Eileen, parents and siblings. Survived by children, Harold (LaRay); Lee (Margo); Sharon (Lee) Plaskett; Daniel (Debbie); Julie (Dan) Mackintosh; Jim; Lisa (Gary) Teran; 42 grandchildren and 73 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Glacial Park Ward Chapel, 2675 East Mount Jordan Road (9955 South). Friends may call on Friday, July 25, 2008 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Cannon Mortuary, 2460 East Bengal Boulevard (7700 South) and the day of the service at the Church from 10 to 10:45 a.m.
Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
