"Guy Arnott Browning, Chaplain and Naval Insfructor, third son of the late Captain G A Browning Royal Navy and Mrs Browning of Dawlish, Devon. Grandson of the late Dr T M Kendall FRCS of Lynn; he went down on the Indefatigable, May 31 1916. The Revd G A Browning was educated at Dulwich College and St John's Cambridge. In that year he was ordained to the curacy of Dawlish. He entered the Navy in 1903 when he was appointed Chaplain & Naval Instructor to HMS Exmouth. He joined HMS Indefatigable in April 1915"
