  Died at home, River Street Obituary - Capt. Martin Ackerly, one of the last old-time deep sea sailing masters, died at his home, 34 River Avenue, of pneumonia. He was a son of the late Lemuel and Theresa Ackerly and was born in East Patchogue 79 years ago. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Martha Ackerly, one daughter, Mrs. Samuel Boddy, four sons, Charles, Martin, Howard and Robert, and one sister, Mrs. Valentine Ryder of New Haven.
