Obituary - Augustus D. Ross, 91, of Chapel Avenue, East Patchogue, died last Thursday at his residence after an extended illness.
Born in Moriches, he was a life resident of Patchogue. He was a retired carpenter, a member of the Patchogue Congregational Church and a charter member of the Center Moriches Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Annie Smith Ross of East Patchogue; two sons, Edward of Patchogue and Arthur of Bayport; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Marsland and Mrs. Flora Penney, both of Moriches.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Ruland Sons Funeral Home, Patchogue with the Rev. Herbert K. Robinson, pastor of the Patchogue Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, East Moriches.
