"On 5 July, 1711 his father's earmark was described; the son received and recorded it in June, 1748. He was deacon of the Presbyterian church at Middle Island; signer of Colonial Associations (Revolutionary War) 16 May, 1775 and
8 June, 1775 in Brookhaven. His will, dated 10 October, 1785, was proved 12 April, 1799 and is recorded in Liber B of Wills, Riverhead, New York, p. 43."
