    • Curtis was born January 20, 1905 in Jensen to Joseph S. and Jemima Moon Dudley, married Jessie Davis, March 27, 1930 at Duchesne.
      He was Uintah County Commissioner for eight years, Director of the Uintah County Water Conservancy District from 1956. President of the Jensen water district; director of the Moon Lake Electric Association for 10 years; on the board of the New Life Training Center; director of the Uintah AAA Foundation. While he was commissioner he worked to get the antenna T. V. into the basin. He was a member of the LDS Church.
      Survivors: widow, sons, daughters, Charles, California; Mrs. Donald (Dorothy) Martinsen, Mrs. Mac (Marian) Holmes, Mrs. Norma Rae Anderson, all of Vernal; Mrs. Duane (Maurine) Anderson, Denver; 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, sisters, Mrs. Gerlad (Katherine) Ross, Murray Davis, (Elta) Alder, Manti; Mrs. Earl (Veda) Hatch, Vernal.
      Funeral services honored Curtis Duncan Dudley May 21 at the Jensen Ward. Wade Slaugh officiated.
      Bishop Mac Holmes offered prayer at the mortuary. May Ann Snow played the prelude and postlude music. "Some Where My Love" was sung by Verdin Goodrich and Norman Haslem. Invocation offered by Bishop Ross Merrill.
      Bishop Wade Slaugh presented short remarks of Mr. Dudleys service to the community and life. Bishop Hyrum Slaugh presented short remarks of Mr. Dudleys service to the community and life. Bishop Hyrum Slaugh and Vern Wilkins were speakers.
      "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" was sung by Frank and Don Walker, Marva Lent and Lois Erickson, Lurae Caldwell and Virginia Ewell sang "That Silver Haired Daddy of Mine."
      A. DeMar Dudley offered the benediction. Dedication of the grave was by Ray Nash.
      Pallbearers, Jody Massey, Devier Dudley and Dennis Hatch, all nephews of the deceased, Ervin Wilkins, Blake Peterson and Richard Peterson. Honorary pallbearers were the Moon Lake Directors, Uintah Water Conservancy District directors, Uintah Basin Alcoholism Foundation Directors.
      Interment was in the Maeser Cemetery. The Jensen Relief Society assisted with the flowers.
