He was married to Edna Roseltha Dudley on February 1, 1932, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They had 6 sons and 5 daughters: Phillip, Wayne, Larry, Russell, Mark, Ross, Agnes, Valda, Ruby, Rose, and Ilene. His wife Edna died in 1955.
His second wife, Ella Wilkins, had also been widowed (Her first husband having died in 1956). Mark passed away on June 2, 1989, just a few months after Ella had died. He died at Salt Lake City, Utah and buried in the Maseser Fairview Cemetery.
