    • Donald C. Teague HANSON Mr. Donald C. "Don" Teague of Hanson, died Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston after a period of failing health. He was 69. Don was a proud veteran of the United States Navy having served on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Shangri-La. He also served the Town of Hanson as a Firefighter/EMT in the 1970's. Don came from a family of printers and worked in the trade for many years, retiring from printing 1 1/2 years ago. Don kept busy in his private life through involvement in the Boy Scouts where he was the Scoutmaster of Hanson's Troop 34 for several years, and also with the Whitman-Hanson Regional High School's Music Association in which he served as co-President with his wife Ruth. He was actively involved in building props and sets for many of the productions at Indian Head School and the high school in the 80's. After retirement, Don de-dicated himself to spending time with his grandchildren and became a skilled woodworker. He created several fine pieces of furniture that can be seen in the homes and yards of his family members. Some other activities Don enjoyed included camping, bowling, painting, photography, kite building, fishing and shooting. Don is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Ruth (Perry), his three children, Lynn Landes and her husband Jeffrey of Hanson, Donald J. Teague and his wife Rebecca of Hanson and Richard Teague and his wife Dora of Whitman, and his grandchildren Katlyn, Benjamin, Annika, Jacob, Delaney, Kyleigh and Sabine. Don also leaves a brother Robert Teague of East Bridgewater, a brother Douglas Hamlin of Randolph and a sister Janice Pearson of Weymouth and their families. A Memorial Service will be held in the Sullivan Funeral Home, 2 Maquan Street at the corner of Rte 14 & 58 in HANSON on Saturday August 15, 2009 at 11 a.m. Friends are encouraged to attend and share their stories of Don.
