      Son of George Murgatroyd, husband of Della Dayton and father of Charles Dayton and Frank Murgatroyd.

      Obituary - George F. Murgatroyd, aged 76, who for many years was associated with the restaurant business in this village, died Tuesday in his home, 203 West Avenue, Patchogue. Born in Union Hill, N.J., he had lived in Patchogue for 58 years.
      He was a member of Kismet Temple in Brooklyn; Patchogue commandery of Knights Templar; Suwasset chapter of Royal Arch Masons; Free and Accepted Masons; South Side Fellowcraft club, and an honorary member of the Sons and Daughters of Liberty.
      He leaves his wife, Mrs. Della Murgatroyd, two sons, Charles Murgatroyd and Frank Murgatroyd, all of Patchogue, a sister, Mrs. Edith Britton of Westfield, N.J., and three grandchildren.
      The funeral service was held at 8 o'clock last evening in the Murgatroyd home, the Rev. James A. Ker, pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating. This was followed by a Masonic service, conducted by members of South Side Lodge. Private interment took place at 10:30 a.m. today in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
