      VICTIM OF HEART TROUBLE.
      Selah W. Rhodes of Fair Haven
      Took to the Sea at Eighteen.
      Selah W. Rhodes, father of Delcho
      L. Rhodes of Fair Haven, died
      Thursday afternoon ot heart trouble
      at his eon's home. Mr. Rhodes had
      been In poor health ten yeara but
      was confined to his bed only a few
      days previous to his death.
      Mr. Rhodes was born at Sayvllle,
      Long Island, 63 years ago. He took
      to the sea at the age of eighteen
      and followed this life until he was
      68. He then opened a retail fish
      market at Kewark and made his
      home with his son at Fair Haven*
      He later entered the oyster business
      with his son and continued In this
      business until his health failed. He
      was married twice, his first wife being
      Mlsa Mary Green of Sayvllle.
      His second wife was Mrs. Annellza
      Snyder of Fair Haven. Ha lived ut
      Fair Haven 45 years.
      Surviving him besides his son are
      three grandchildren and seven great-
      grandchildren, all of whom livo at
      Fair Haven. The body waa prepared
      for burial at R. R. Mount &
      Son's undertaking establishment and
      Rev. Harry J. Bright of the Fair
      Haven Methodist church conducted
      the funeral at tho Mount parlors
      Sunday afternoon. Burial waa at
      Fair View cemetery.
