  Daughter of John Hawkins and Angeline Newton, wife of Morris Satterly and mother of Evangeline Satterly. Obituary - Mrs. Rosella Satterly, aged 83, a lifelong resident of Lake Grove, died last Thursday at her home after a brief illness. Mrs. Satterly was the daughter of the late John Hawkins and Angeline Newton, who were residents of that section, as were her grandparents. Mrs. Satterly was the widow of Morris Satterly, of Port Jefferson. Funeral service was held Sunday afternoon at the New Village Congregational church, Centereach, with the Rev. Charles Furman officiating. Burial took place in the family plot in the Congregational cemetery. Mrs. Satterly leaves a daughter, Mrs. Eva Smith, and a granddaughter, Miss Vera Smith. Although she was confined to her home she devoted much of her time to church work and knit many sweaters for the Red Cross. (Long Island Surnames; The Patchogue advance., November 04, 1943, Page 7)
