Notes - Died at home, 112 South Mill Street
Everett T. Smith, 69, a resident of 112 S. Mill Street, passed away unexpectedly early Sunday morning at the family residence.
Mr. Smith was a native of Indiana and was born at Decker, the son of George W. Smith and Ena Godfrey Smith. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Vogelgesong on May 31, 1941.
He was a foreman for 23 years for the O'Connor Construction Company, which built the present Route 50. He had also worked on many other construction projects in this area.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth, and the following children: Wayne Smith, a student at Notre Dame Academy at New Orleans, La., Miss Carol Smith, a law student at the University of Illinois in Champaign and Norman Smith of Lafayette, La. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Noble Wright of Vincennes, Ind.
Graveside rites will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Crest Haven Memorial Park
with the Rev. R. E. Dowden officiating.
Friends may call at the Summers-Rainey Funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
