      Louis O. "Lou", age 86, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012, at the Triple Creek Retirement Community where he lived for the last four years. He was born on August 8, 1925, in Cincinnati, OH, to Louis and Mathilda (Flohr) Zinser. Lou was a member of what historians call "the greatest generation." Answering the call to fight for his country in WWII, he volunteered to join the army. He fought admirably in WWII, landing on Omaha Beach, Normandy, France in the second wave of troop landings on D-Day, and shortly thereafter served in the infantry at the end of the Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he married Edna Wilson. Together they had one son and two daughters. They were married sixty years at the time of her death on July 23, 2008. Lou spent his entire working career at Procter and Gamble. He retired from P&G in 1985. He is survived by a brother, Harold (Dot) Zinser, and sister, Violet (Ron) Waigand; by his son, Michael (Barbara) Zinser, of Nashville, TN; two daughters, Donna (Michael) Reenan and Patti (Paul) Baechle of Cincinnati; grandchildren, Ashley Witte (Todd), Amy Zinser, Adam (Lindsay) Zinser, Michael (Amy) Reenan, Kelly (Eric) Kroger, Jeffrey (Cary) Reenan, Jenny (Eric) Spitzley, Emily (Tom) Cunningham, and Paul (fiancé Amanda Roush) Baechle; great grandchildren Isabelle Witte, Sarah and Andrew Reenan, Hannah and Hailey Kroger, Nathan Whitaker, Cameron and Julianna Reenan, Max, Molly and Samantha Spitzley; Alycia, Austin and Ben Carpenter; Corby, Blaine and Sydney Cunningham; Brandi, Breana and Paul Baechle; Autumn Roush . Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012, at 10:30 am at Corpus Christi Church, 2014 Springdale Rd., Cincinnati, OH, 45231, with the Reverend Jim Meade officiating. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 pm on Sunday, August 12, at the Frederick Funeral Home, 2553 Banning Road, Cincinnati, OH, 45239 and also on Monday, August 13, 2012 at Corpus Christi Church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Lou's name to Corpus Christi Church or Hospice of Cincinnati.
