Notes - Obituary - The funeral of Mrs. Sarah E. Danes, wife of George Danes, of Patchogue, was held from her late home on Baker Street, on Saturday afternoon, the Rev. A.W. Byrt, pastor of the Patchogue M.E. Church, officiating. Mrs. Danes died Wednesday after an illness of short duration. She was born at Patchogue April 5, 1833, and had always lived here. She was married in 1853. Her husband and three children - Joseph Danes, William Danes, and Mrs. Edward Ruland of Patchogue - survive her.
