  Born Aug 1852 according to 1900 US Census Van Cleif Voorhees died at his home early Monday morning at an advanced age from hemorrhage of the brain. Besides his widow, a daughter and son, A L Voorhees of this village, survive. Notice published in The Patchogue Advance on Tues Sept 27 p3 East Moriches news
