  Died at Central Suffolk Hospital ERNEST L BARBER, 92, of 22 Chichester Avenue, Center Moriches, died on Monday at Central Suffolk Hospital, Riverhead. Born February 22, 1879 in Center Moriches, he had been a lifelong resident of Center Moriches. He was a charter member, former fire commissioner and the oldest member of the Center Moriches Fire Department. He was also a member of the Center Moriches United Methodist Church and a trustee of Mt Pleasant Cemetery Association. Mr Barber is survived by three nieces, Mrs Arlene Hawkins and Mrs Margaret Baumes, both of Center Moriches, and Mrs Lorraine McDonald of New York City. He is also survived by numerous great, great-great and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Center Moriches Fire Department services will be held 7:30 pm this evening at Herrmann's Funeral Home, Center Moriches. Funeral services will be held 2 pm tomorrow at Center Moriches United Methodist Church, with the Rev William H Bird officiating. Interment will follow in Mt Pleasant Cemetery, East Moriches.
