  Died at home Obituary - Walter G. Overton, Sr., aged 60, retired plumbing contractor, died Sunday morning at his home in Patchogue after a long illness. Born in Patchogue, Mr. Overton had been a lifelong resident of the village. He was an active member of the board of trustees of the Patchogue Congregational Church. He was also vice president and a director of the People's National Bank of Patchogue. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Veronica Jones Overton; two sons, Walter G. Overton Jr., and Franklyn H. Overton, all of Patchogue, and a sister, Mrs. Fred Green of Waterbury, Conn. (Records of Cedar Grove Cemetery; The Suffolk County news., January 15, 1943, Page 7)
