    • "MT. VISION - Mrs. Fred F. Tillotson died at Maple Grove farm, the Tillotson home, Friday morning of last week, after a prolonged illness. Mary A. Newman was born at Brooklyn February 8th, 1878, and there spent her early life. December 18th, 1901, she married Mr. Tillotson at Huntington, L. I., and most of their married life was spent in that community. Three sons were born of the union, Merwin, the eldest, now residing at East Rockaway, L. I., Edwin of Brooklyn, and Kenneth of East Rockaway. April 3d, 1932, Mr. and Mrs. Tillotson and Kenneth moved to Mt. Vision, purchasing the farm of Mrs. Inez Naylor, where they had since resided. Kenneth returned to East Rockaway in the fall of 1936. Mrs. Tillotson had been in ill health for several years, and death came quietly as she slept. Besides her three sons, she leaves her husband, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Edwin Tillotson, a grandson, Bruce, and one sister, Mrs. John F. Kobin of Freeport, L. I. Private funeral services were held in the home, Sunday afternoon at the convenience of the family. The Rev. C. J. Hurlbutt, a family friend, officiated. Burial was made in the Huntington Rural cemetery, Huntington, L. I." ["The Otsego Farmer & Republican" (Cooperstown, NY), Fri., Apr. 9, 1937, Page Six]
