  Born 11 July 1905 to Joseph Schultz and Joanna Slezak in Manhattan, New York. Earliest census 1915 at age 9 in the Bronx for him lists Joseph Schultz, wife Johanna, and children; Joseph Jr, Gertrude, William, Herbert, Lillian, Ruth, and Dorothy. 1920 census lists him living with parents and siblings, in addition of brother Eugene on College Avenue in Bronx, New York. 1925 census lists him at age 20 with parents and siblings. 1 September 1928 married Annie Florence Pendleton, in New York City If Herbert served in the Military I have been unsuccessful in tracking down any records. 1930 census lists him living in Brooklyn with wife Annie on 31st Street, he worked as a brokage margin clerk. 1940 lists him living on East 52nd Street in Brooklyn, New York with wife Annie, and 3 sons; Robert, Donald, and Warren, working as a Gloves Salesman. This census also states he attended College, 2nd year. They probably moved to Patchogue Long Island New York sometime late 1940s, or early 1950's. He lived on Grove Avenue in Patchogue Long Island New York until his death in August of 1977.
