- Died at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital
Anne F. Cahill, 80, of Sellersville, formerly of Doylestown, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2012, in Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. She was the beloved wife of James J. Cahill, Jr., for 25 years.
Born in Valley Stream, New York, she was the daughter of the late George and Theresa (Jeudy) Bishop. She was a graduate of Richmond Hill High School, New York.
Mrs. Cahill had been employed in sales with Carroll’s Jewelers, Doylestown Electric, and Furlong Lamp and Lighting.
Anne had been a long-time member of the Doylestown Soroptimist Club of Bucks County, where she had served as president and treasurer.
Mrs. Cahill loved gardening, knitting, and crocheting. She enjoyed pool parties and particularly delighted in time spent with her family.
In addition to her husband, she was survived by her three children: Linda Godown, of Mason, Ohio; Karl Myers, of Orwigsburg; and Vicky O’Toole, and her husband, John, of New Britain; six grandchildren: Gwen; Stephanie; Rebecca; Christopher; Victoria; and John; six great-grandchildren: Ciaran; Kayci; Cassidy; Ethan; Charlotte; and Juliette; and six brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Cahill was also survived by her five step-children: Timothy Cahill, and his wife, Sharon, of Wyndmoor; Kevin Cahill, of Quakertown; Daniel Cahill; Kelly O’Hara, and her husband, Mike; and Sean Cahill, and his wife, Dana, all of North Carolina; seven step-grandchildren: Adam; Zack; Mary; Keely; Connor; Emily; and Jack; and her dog, "Schatzie."
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles "Chuck" Myers, and five brothers and sisters.
Her memorial service was held on Thursday, March 15, 2012, in the Betty Meier Steeley Funeral Home, Sellersville, PA.
