- Dr. Dwight Colbur Conway of Brownsburg died Wednesday at the age of 77.
He received his B.S. degree from the University of California-Berkeley and a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago. He was a faculty member of the chemistry department at Texas A&M University for 43 years and retired as professor emeritus in 2006.
Dr. Conway was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Beta Phi, Alpha Chi Sigma, Sigma Xi, and the American Chemical Society.
Survivors include his wife, Diane; daughters and sons-in-law Kathleen and Kim Jurell of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Karyn and Fred Hasselbrinck of Indianapolis; sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Laura Conway of New York, N.Y., and Patrick and Heather Conway of Washington, D.C.; a brother, Noel Conway; and grandchildren Megan and Holden Jurell, Scott and Grace Hasselbrinck, and Jasper Conway.
Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Matthews Mortuary, 690 E. 56th St., Brownsburg. Interment will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Calling at the mortuary is for one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center or to a charity of the donor's choice.
