- Luke Curry was a Police Officer in Great Falls, Montana. He served 12 years for the Police Force, dying in the line of duty at age 42. Officer Curry and another Police Officer was on foot patrol and checking doors of closed businesses at night, making sure they were locked up and secure. One store was unlocked, he opened and entered to investigate. He was shot once in the head and killed instantly, by the shop owner, who mistook him for a burglar. The business owner who had just moved into town was sleeping in back of the store. He was charged with unlawful killing, but was acquitted of the charges, due to mistaken identity. Officer Curry was survived by his wife and five children.
