Adopted daughter of Orrin Rose and Eliza Ann Green, who took her in when she was 14 months old after the death of her mother and two siblings.
She lived in a little house on South Main Street, Sayville, provided to her by her adopted father. She lived there until her death, just shy of her 59th birthday.
Her funeral took place on Monday afternoon at the M.E. Church, conducted by the Rev. A. M. Wilkins and she was buried in the Rose family plot in the Union Cemetery.
