Died at home

Mattituck resident Robert E. Florsz died at home on Feb. 22. He was 51 years old. Mr. Florsz was born in Port Jefferson on Dec. 19, 1953, to Edward and Marion (Stil) Florsz. He was a music teacher at East Hampton elementary school. Mr. Florsz "faithfully served the Lord as an elder at the Community Christian Fellowship" in Mattituck, said his wife, Lorraine, in a written statement. He also enjoyed music and belonged to the Mattituck Gun Club. In addition to his wife, Lorraine (née Ponessa), he is survived by his father and his children, Sharon and Jonathan. He is also survived by a sister, Cathy Machia. Visitation was held Feb. 25 at William F. Coster Funeral Home in Cutchogue, where a funeral service was held that evening, officiated by Dan Rieter of Community Christian Fellowship. Interment was on Feb. 26 at Union Cemetery in Middle Island. Memorial donations may be made to Voice of Truth Church, Ukraine, c/o Community Christian Fellowship, P.O.
