  Robert Thomas Amacher, age 80 of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Tennova Healthcare Harton. He was born December 11, 1936 to the late Wesley Steward Amacher and Elsie Mae Hawkersmith Amacher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Coleen Williams. Robert worked as a guide at George Dickel Distillery and liked to write songs, play the guitar and draw. Survivors include his brother, James Amacher of Decherd; sisters, Sandra Amacher Sutherland Nunley (James) of Winchester and Nina Ruth Amacher Babin (Marvin) of Rogersville, AL; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Carr of Wartrace, Deeda Long of Tracy City, Angela Stubbs, Lisa Davis (Wayne), Jason Scott and Kari Williams, all of Winchester. Visitation will be 1-3 pm Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3 PM with Chaplain Todd Coutta officiating.
