  Daughter of Edmund Underwood and Eliza Mather Bayles, wife of John Platt Hutchinson. Wife of John Foster Hawkins, whom she married on October 20, 1892 (second wife) in Mt. Sinai, NY. Obituary - Phebe E. Hawkins, wife of John F. Hawkins, died at her home here on Monday, after a long illness. She was sixty-one years of age and was formerly Miss Phebe Underwood, of Mt. Sinai. Services were held Thursday afternoon, at her late residence on Bayview Terrace, Rev, R. F. Carlson, pastor of the Methodist church, officiating, and interment took place in the family plot in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Setauket. Mrs. Hawkins is survived by her husband, two brother, Albert and Thomas Underwood, of Port Jefferson, and two step children, Foster Hawkins and Miss Eleanor Hawkins.
