- Died at John Sealy Hospital
GALVESTON - Marion L. Hebert, 73, of Beaumont passed away June 26, 2004 at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 7 pm, June 30, 2004 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston, Texas, with Rev. Nathan Harold Cothen of Calvary Baptist Church, Beaumont, officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5 to 7 pm, Wednesday, June 30, 2004 at the funeral home.
Marion was born March 5, 1931 to Ross and Jenny Perrivury Findley in Hornell, New York. She was employed as an accountant in the realty field. She loved to bowl and was well known at The Island Bowl Lanes of Galveston. She attended the Calvary baptist Church of Beaumont before relocating to Galveston when her health began to fail.
Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, D. J. Meehan and Horace William Hebert and sister, Anne Fry, Marion is survived by her sons Don Meehan of Houston, George Sohier and wife, Jan of Dickinson and Buddy Vo of Galveston; daughters, Jeannette Carlomagno of Albany, New York, Mary Ann Duff of Virginia and Lynn Carlomagno of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; son-in-law, Ed Kozun of Albequerque, New Mexico; other relatives and friends.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of UTMB for their dedicated care of Marion during her stays there.
