      BARRETT James J. "Jay"

      Geneva - James J. "Jay' Barrett, 67 of Baker Rd., Webster, NY died on Sunday, June 6, 2010 in Unity Hospital, Rochester.
      Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home, 181 N. Main St., Geneva, on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 from 5-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 AM on Thursday, June 10, 2010 in St. Stephen's Church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to American Heart Association or to Catholic Charities Community Services, 1945 Ridge Rd. East, Rochester, New York 14622.
      Jay was born in Elmira and resided in Geneva for several years before moving to Webster. He was the son of the late Frank and Mary Lucy Barrett. He was formerly employed with the Barrett Marine. He was a member of the Antique Car Club and loved dealing with Antique's.
      He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; his two sons, Stephen Barrett of Elmira and Patrick Barrett of Horseheads; his step children, Ann (Lorin) Laurini of Fairport and Robert (Connie) Denk of Rochester; four grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Robert and Kirstianna (Curly); two sisters, Winifred (William) Bowman of Centerville and Moira (Ronald) Horn of Millport; two brothers, Francis (Deborah) Barrett of Waterloo and Terrance Barrett of Geneva; his mother-in-law, Rosemary Boesel of Rochester and several nieces and nephews.
      He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph Barrett.
