Marriage - Miss Alida Peterson and Mr. Percy Smith were married on Thursday afternoon at the residence of the bride's parents, on West Main Street. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A.E. Colton, pastor of the Congregational Church. The parlors were tastefully decorated with palms and flowers. The bride was attired in the conventional white gown with tulle veil and carried a bouquet of roses. Mr. Robert Stark acted as best man while Messrs. Frederick Welsh and T.J. Vail were ushers. After the ceremony a reception was held, which was attended by a large number of people. Mr. and Mrs. Smith left on the 4 o'clock train for a trip to New York and Washington. On their return they will reside in Patchogue.
Obituary - Mrs. Alida Potter, formerly of Patchogue, died Tuesday night at St. Petersburg, Fla.
She is survived by a son, Edward, of St. Petersburgh; a daughter, Mrs. Gladys Castro of East Patchogue; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the widow of Robert Potter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday under the direction of C.W. Ruland Sons, Patchogue. Arrangements were incomplete as of yesterday and more details will appear in the next issue of The Patchogue Advance.
