Notes - James Lawrence (Jay) Measom, 90, passed away on April 16, 2017 at his home surrounded by family. Jay lived his entire life in Spanish Fork, Utah. He married Donna Aitken on September 19, 1950 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They have 5 children: Gary, Denise, Lorin, Julie and Blake.
He graduated from Spanish Fork High School. Proudly served in the US Navy. Following the military he served an LDS mission to New Zealand and Australia. He worked for 34 years teaching math and social studies at Spanish Fork Junior High. Jay was an active member of the LDS church where he served faithfully in many callings.
Jay was a life-time member of the American Legion being named Legionnaire of the year in 2015.
Funeral services held Saturday, April 22, 2017, 11:00 am at Crosswinds 3rd LDS Ward, 1660 S. 1400 E., Spanish Fork, UT. Visitations will be held at the church on Friday the 21st from 6 - 8 pm and also Saturday the 22nd from 9:30 - 10:30 am. Interment Spanish Fork Cemetery.
