Sadie Belle entered on Marriage Registration with 2nd husband, Vanderbilt Raymond
March 23, 1918 - "Upon complaint of John Lessey, a former resident of Patchogue, Mrs. Sadie Peterson Raymond, was arrested Saturday night by Constable John E. Glover, charged with bigamy. When arraigned before Justice of the Peace C.W. Coleman she waived examination and was held to await the action of the Grand Jury. Upon failure to secure bail she was taken to the county jail. The defendant has been four times married, first when a young girl, to a sailor named Darling, who later died. About eight years ago she married Shepherd Dyckes, of Setauket, a Long Island Railroad trainman, and three years later he secured a divorce from her. Three years ago she left Patchogue and married Lessey in Connecticut, but they did not live together very long and she returned to Patchogue, where she has been a familiar figure in the west end of town. Two months ago she married Vanderbilt Raymond, of Rockville Centre, a soldier stationed at Camp Upton, the Rev. H.H. Mower, of Sayville, performing the ceremony. When securing her marriage license in Patchogue, the defendant said that she had been married, but divorced. Lessey returned to Patchogue Friday and upon learning that his wife had married again, swore out a warrant for her arrest."
Died at her home. 53 South Prospect Avenue
