Michelle Andrea “Elle” [Olson] Morgan, ended her journey on this earth on December 24th, 2020 in Fresno, CA.
She is survived by her four beautiful children Donovan (12), Dempsey (10), Estelle (7), and Ellis (5), her mother and father, Cynthia and Michael Morgan, her siblings [and spouses], Reneé Cundick [Ryan], Cory Robin, Craig Robin [Natalie], Cameron Morgan [Ginger], Christopher Morgan [Hailey], Chanelle Morgan and 13 beloved nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Mary Lou and Charles Galer, and her paternal grandparents, Nanette and Donald Morgan.
Michelle was born in Riverton, Utah on February 27, 1984, and her childhood was spent in the Salt Lake Valley. She attended Skyline High School and SLCC. Even from a young age, whenever Michelle would enter a room, it would instantly be charged with an electricity that was uniquely hers. She would energize you with her unforgettable smile and her infectious laugh--remember her cute snort?! Just by being around her, you’d feel the desire to be more cheerful, to be a light to others like she was. You could see this burning desire within her to make the world more alive through her kindness and unrelenting positivity. When you talked to her, she made you feel like the only person in the world. She was adventurous, passionate, funny, strong-willed, and determined with a generous and loving soul. Michelle never loved anyone halfway; she wanted to do all she could to make life better for others. When she would see people down on their luck, she was always compassionate and charitable. Michelle inspired everyone around her to strive to be their best self.
Everything she did came from a place of love. This is especially visible in all that she did to make a beautiful life for herself and her cherished children. Michelle was an incredible mother. Being a single parent in a world of tablets and smartphones, she made it a point to be intensely present with her children. She wasn’t afraid to be her goofy self and play with them on their level. She shined when working on arts and crafts, singing, exploring nature, cooking, and baking with her children by her side.
Michelle lived in Virginia for a short time and loved the history and exploring Charlottesville. While living in San Diego and in Fresno, she cofounded a Mom’s Club for mothers of young children to have a fun and engaging support group. In 2015 she became involved with Fight with Fashion fundraising for Made For Them as a volunteer and later as Committee President. She worked tirelessly with victims of human trafficking to help them integrate into society and help learn self respect and help find work. You could see the joy it brought into her life. Michelle was an inspiring personal trainer for 7 years in the Fresno, CA area. She applied her training certifications in yoga, yoga aerial fitness, and nutrition to empower her clients to achieve personal success. She loved being a young women’s leader and primary teacher in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and always really connected with those she was teaching. She worked for Yesco until the pandemic closure in March of 2020. During the summer of 2020, she pursued getting her pilot's license and enjoyed fishing in the lakes surrounding Fresno with her children.
She shined so brightly for all of us but burned out too quickly. The world is a darker place without her brilliance. Losing Michelle so suddenly is absolutely heartbreaking to all of us. We miss her so much. Life will never be the same without her, but we will carry her legacy of love, light, and joy with us forever.
Due to pandemic restrictions, there will be a private family memorial service for immediate family only held in her honor on Saturday, January 16th, 2021. She will be laid to rest in Utah.
