    Obituary - Bertha Mae, the young wife of Alfred Otto, a native of West Sayville, died in a hospital in New Haven, Conn., Saturday where she was taken for an operation but expired before it was performed. Mrs. Otto's age was 19 years and six months, and she was the daughter of Mrs. Charles Palmer, of New Haven, in which city she was married to Mr. Otto last Thanksgiving day. They for a short time made their home in Yonkers, but lately moved to New Haven. Mrs. Otto, who had spent several summers in Patchogue and had many friends in that place who came to Sayville to attend the funeral services. The remains were brought to Sayville on the noon train Tuesday and services were conducted in the M.E. church, the Rev. J. W. Maynard, of Patchogue M.E. Church, officiating. The interment was in the Otto plot, Union Cemetery. Mr. Otto has the heartfelt sympathy of his friends of this community.

    Note: Although her obituary states that she was buried at Union Cemetery, records show that she was buried at Cedar Grove in the Humiston/Palmer family plot.
