    Obituary - Killed In Delaware - According to the wire service reports, an elderly couple were fatally injured Tuesday night at an intersection near Dover, Delaware.
    Killed were Arthur Hammond, 76, and his wife, Emily, 75, of 243 West Avenue, Patchogue. The report said that both were killed when their car was in collision with a milk delivery truck.
    The truck driver, Roy Aronson, 31 of suburban Dover, escaped injury, the report stated.
    The couple had been visiting a stepson, John Rowley Sr., of Dover, and had gone for an evening ride. They were pronounced dead on arrival at Kent General Hospital.

    On October 6th, 1920, Elsie Hampton, aged 13, and her sister, Emily Hampton, aged 14, came to the U.S. aboard the S.S. Adriatic, which sailed from Southampton, England to New York. Both shown as students, their nearest relative at their travel origin was given as their grandfather, Mr. Martin of 39 Port Street, Manchester, England, destination Patchogue, NY, to their father, Captain Rowley of 35 Bishop Court, Patchogue, NY.
    In 1930, Elsie Hampton, aged 23, was living in the home of her grandmother, Anna Martin, aged 69, on Bishop's Court, Patchogue, NY, with her sister, Emily I. Hampton, aged 24. Both she and her sister were employed as operators at the lace mill.
    Emily, an operator at the Patchogue-Plymouth Mills, died at the Brookhaven Memorial Hospital at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 20 days, and was buried by Ruland Funeral Home on March 21, 1984.
