    GILES PENNEY, 83, of Barnes road, Moriches, died April 15 at Cedar Lodge Nursing Home, Center Moriches. Born June 20, 1887 in Center Moriches, he had been a resident of Moriches for the past 61 years. Mr Penney was a retired carpenter and painter.
    He is survived by two daughters, Mrs Doris E P Robert of Center Moriches and Mrs Marion P Havens of Moriches; two sons Chauncey F of Center Moriches and Richard R of Clearwater Fla and by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held at Herrmann’s Funeral Home, Center Moriches, with Dr Irving A Marsland officiating. Interment followed in Mt Pleasant Cemetery, East Moriches.
