Bernelle J. Streit, age 96 of Greenbrier, Arkansas passed from this life on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Greenbrier Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenbrier, Arkansas. She was born in Searcy County, Arkansas on June 13, 1916 to John Barnes and Maude (Shipman) Barnes.
Bernelle was a former resident of Leslie and was a cousin of Daphne Killebrew, Juanita Reeves, Maurine Flynn and Claudia Barnes. She was a member of the University Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a homemaker and an avid bridge player.
Bernelle is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 65 years, Charles T. Streit.
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive her.
Arrangements are by Roller-Coffman Funeral Home in Marshall, Arkansas.
A graveside memorial services will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 05, 2013 at East Lawn Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas with Bro. Tommy Jolly officiating.
