    "NEW MILFORD - Charity Reimer, 94, of New Milford, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2008, at Candlewood Valley Health and Rehab Center, New Milford. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Reimer.
    "Mrs. Reimer was born Jan. 15, 1914, in Westport, daughter of the late Dr. Frederick D. and Leo VanDesen [sic] Ruland. She attended elementary school in Westport and graduated from Grail Preparatory School in Fairfield.
    "She attended William and Mary College in Willliamsburg, Va., and graduated from Upsala College in East Orange, N.J. in 1940. In 1941, she graduated from Eastern School of Physicians Aides in New York City.
    "She worked for a physician for many years. Mrs. Reimer was a 50-year member of both the DAR and the Eastern Star.
    "A graveside burial service will take place on Monday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m. at the Willow Brook Cemetery, Wesport. Friends may call on Sunday, Aug. 24, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Lillis Funeral Home, 58 Bridge St., New Milford.
    "Contributions on her memory may be made to the Leukemia Society of America, Connecticut chapter, 300 Research Parkway, Suite 310, Meriden 06450."
