    GEORGE YOUNG DIES SUDDENLY
    George C Young, 77, one of the most prominent and highly respected residents of Riverhead Town, died suddenly at his home on the main road in Aquebogue Sunday morning. While he had not been in the best of health for several years, he had been about as usual up until the time he was stricken with a heart attack.
    Mr Young was a son of the late George W and Rosetta (Corwin) Young. He was born at Aquebogue and resided there all his life. He was engaged in farming for many years, retiring about 20 years ago. He also had been engaged in the produce business with his brother Frank W Young, in Aquebogue. Mr Young was an ardent Democrat and for a number of years served as a Democratic election district committeeman of Riverhead Town. He also served as a member of the Riverhead Town Board of Audit form 1928 to 1934, when the board was abolished. He was a descendent of one of Eastern Long Island's best known old families.Surviving Mr Young are his wife, who was formerly Miss Blanche Jennings, of Aquebogue; three sons, Baldwin C Young of Astoria, George W Young of Riverhead, and Town Highway Supt Myron C Young of Aquebogue; four grandsons, four granddaughters, six great-grandchildren, a brother Frank W Young of Aquebogue and a sister, Mrs Annie Luce of Northville. A fourth son was the late Raymond A Young of Bridgehampton.
    Largely attended funeral services were held in the Congregational Church in Aquebogue on Tuesday afternoon, with the Rev Walton D Moffitt, the pastor, officiating. Interment was in the cemetery at Aquebogue.
    Mr Young was a faithful member of that church since boyhood and an member of the choir for many years.

    George married Hazel Clowes Griswold 10 Aug 1917, Jamesport, Suffolk, New York, United Staes.     Died at Eastern Long Island Hospital

    Kathrine Young Williamson of Laurel died June 15 at Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport after a brief illness. She was 86.
    She was born July 9, 1924, in Riverhead to Hazel (Griswold) and George Whitfield Young. She graduated from Riverhead High School in 1942 and attended Syracuse University.
    She married Zahn Williamson of Jamesport on Feb. 19, 1944; they raised three children in Riverhead and later South Jamesport. In the 1960s Ms. Williamson returned to college and earned a master's degree in education from Adelphi University in Garden City. She became an art teacher and taught kindergarten for many years at Phillips Avenue and Roanoke Avenue elementary schools.
    Family members said Ms. Williamson was a loving and optimistic person and a wonderful mother. She was always ready to have fun, they said, and enjoyed being at the beach, taking long walks and visiting with family and friends.
    Predeceased in 2008 by her husband of 64 years, Ms. Williamson is survived by her children, Pam Hunt and Bruce, both of Riverhead, and Kathrine, of Laurel, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
    Visiting hours took place June 17 at Reginald H. Tuthill Funeral Home in Riverhead. Graveside services were held June 18 at Riverhead Cemetery.
