      Fabian Stanton, 79, of La Crosse, WI, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, May 20, at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital, La Crosse. He was born June 10, 1929, in Dubuque, the son of Earl and Edith Mabel Westover Stanton. He married Kathleen Feuerbach. He married Verna J. Stanhope Wagner on April 24, 1971, in Nashua. She died July 10, 1993. He was employed with John Deere and Waterloo Industries, most notably a barber. He also served in the United States Air Force. Survivors include: seven sons; Dennis (Sherry) Stanton of Des Moines, Dale (Shelly) Stanton of Amarillo, TX, Alan (Eadie) Stanton of Iowa Falls, Dennis Wagner of Waterloo, Randy (Kathy) Wagner of Waterloo, Corky (Dalona) Feuerbach of Ackley, and Darren (Vicki) Feuerbach of Rapid River, MI; nine daughters, Teri Cywinski of Hampton, Barb (Keith) Barghahn of La Crescent, MN, Beth Wagner of Waterloo, Sherry (Larry) Hoefer of Strawberry Point, Valerie (Gene) Holton of Arlington, TX, Jackie (Ora) Hennessy of Dysart, Pat (Mike) Hanson of Dysart, Pam (Chad) VanDyke of La Porte City, Ginny (Denny) Burgdorff of Ames; 41 grandchildren and 43 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Kevin Wagner; a daughter, Judy Knoop; a brother, Thomas LaShelle; two sisters, Harriet Bergum and Evelyn Bannick; a great-granddaughter, Kaylee. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by the Waterloo AMVETS Post 19 and Evansdale AMVETS Post 31. Public visitation from 11-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials: may be directed to the Alzeiheimer's Association.
