  Daughter of Israel A. Conklin and Mary Emma Bird, wife of Arthur Thomas Brown, whom she married on November 1, 1904 in Patchogue, New York, and mother of Samuel A. Brown. In 1900, Edith L. Conklin, aged 16, born January 1884, was living on Main Street, Islip, New York, in the home of her parents, Israel A. Conklin, aged 65, and Mary E. Conklin, aged 43, with her sister, Grace M. Conklin, aged 12. Her father was shown to be a blacksmith. In 1910, Edith Brown, aged 26, was living on Brookhaven Road, Brookhaven, New York, with her husband, Arthur Brown, aged 24, and son, Samuel Brown, aged 4. Her husband was shown to be a laborer at a private place. In 1920, Edith Brown, aged 34, was living on Avenue C, Miami, Florida, with her husband, Arthur T. Brown, aged 34, and son, Samuel A. Brown, aged 14. Her husband was shown to be a stereotyper for the Herald. In 1930, Edith L. Brown, aged 45, was living at 313 S.W. 10th St., Miami, Dade, Florida, with her husband, Arthur T. Brown, aged 44, a stereotyper at a newspaper, and son, Samuel A. Brown, aged 24, an apprentice at a newspaper. In 1935, Edith L.
