Notes - Eleanor E. Austin, aged 91, of Dickinson, NY, a former Cutchogue, NY resident died November 17, 2013 at Elizabeth Church Manor Nursing Home in Dickinson.
She was born in Greenport, NY on May 22, 1922, to Lloyd and Amanda (Verity) Blydenburgh and was a homemaker and lifelong member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greenport. According to family members, Ms. Austin was a spunky and funny woman who was "put on earth" to help others. She loved life, flowers and being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Predeceased by her husband, Elbert, in 1997, Ms. Austin is survived by her children, Elbert, of Mastic, NY, Elaine Carril of Newark Valley, NY, Eleanna Sparling of Greenport and Ernest Wayne of PA; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services at Coster-Heppner Funeral Home, Cutchogue, NY. A funeral service will take place at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Greenport. Cremation will be private, followed by burial at Cutchogue Cemetery, NY.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
