  Elizabeth M. "Betty" Smith, 88, of Tomball, Texas, formerly of Olney, died Wednesday, August 20, 2008, in Tomball, Texas. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Crest Haven Cemetery in rural Claremont with Rev. Father Jerry Wirth officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Cemetery. Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Smith was born August 9, 1920, in Lawrenceburg, Ind., the daughter of Frank and Margaret Carrie (Zinser) Vogelsang. She married Everett Smith, and he preceded her in death. She loved all her children and will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Mrs. Smith is survived by a son, Robert Wayne Smith and his wife, Barbara, of Cantonville, Md.; son, Norman Ray Smith and his wife, Jayne, of Tomball, Texas.; three grandchildren, Tim Smith, Elise Stubbe and her husband, Justin, and Elizabeth Maxey and her husband, Dave; and three great-grandchildren, Adam Bowling, Cole Bowling and Milaan Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, two sisters and one brother. Published Olney Daily Mail Newspaper.
