      Frank Katz Ends Life At Farm Home
      Fredonia Township Man Had Been in Ill Health For Some Time
      Frank Katz, 58, life-long resident of Fredonia township and highway overseer for several terms, ended his life by hanging in the silo at his farm home yesterday morning.
      Mr. Katz who had been in ill health for some time, at his breakfast at the usual time, it was said, and left the house to do his customary morning chores.
      Members of the family became alarmed when he failed to return to the house and the body suspended by a rope in the silo, was found by his son, Wayne, about 9:30 o'clock.
      Coroner Carl Gray, of Battle Creek was summoned and after an investigation announced that an inquest would not be necessary.
      Besides the widow, Myrtle, and the son, Mr. Katz, is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dorliss Hower and Miss Bernice Katz; four brothers, Hiram, Fred, Herbert, and Charles Katz, all of Fredonia township, and five sisters, Mrs. Carrie Yades, of Jackson, Mrs. Frank Rocho, of Newton township, Mrs. George Rocho, of Ceresco, Mrs. Howard Sutherland, and Mrs. Carrol Walbeck of Marshall.
      Funeral services will be held at the residence Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock. Burial is to be in the Lyon lake cemetery.

      Funeral Service
      The funeral of Frank G. Katz was held at 2:00 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the late home in Fredonia township and was largely attended, relatives from Jackson, Albion, Battle Creek, Union City and Marshall being present. Rev. T. Hedley Jones officiated. A profusion of beautiful flowers expressed the sympathy of the donors. Burial was given in Lyon lake cemetery, and acting as pallbearers were the nephews, Messr. Charles Katz, Franklin Rocco, James Lee, Duane Sutherland, Richard Sigher and Glenn Rocco.
